Claustrophobia is having a fear of confined spaces. It is a type of fear and may for some be a phobia. Often people need to manage their claustrophobia in order to function in the community eg Fear of lifts, fear of underground carparks, fear of riding on a train or bus OR others may require treatment in oder to work with claustrophobia so they may travel in a plane or work in a new environment that may be challenging for them.

• Health Insurance policies may cover Psychological Treatment.

• WINZ Beneficiaries or those on low income may be eligible for government support.

• ACC will meet the cost for psychological services if clients are eligible.

– Sensitive Claim for psychological issues following sexual abuse.

– Psychological Services for clients with psychological issues secondary to a physical injury e.g. Traumatic Brain or Spinal Cord Injury.

• Student Psychologist. Reduced rates to see one of our Masters or Doctoral Level Students, all of whom are well trained in addition to being supervised by Lifespan Senior Psychologists.
