General Information and Work History:

Keiren is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years experience in the provision of therapy to children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. Keiren worked in Sydney for 12 years before moving to New Zealand where she worked in a specialist service treating eating disorders. In Sydney she worked for several years in private practice treating children and adults presenting with a wide range of difficulties. Prior to that she worked at Westmead and Sydney Children’s hospitals in Sydney treating children and adolescents presenting with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties, along with their parents and families

Areas of Interest:

Keiren specialises in the provision of family therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, parent-child intersectional therapy, couples therapy and art and sandplay therapy. Having worked with populations from diverse backgrounds and with longstanding trauma backgrounds, she recognises the importance of working creatively and adaptively with clients to help them achieve personal and relational health and satisfaction. . Keiren believes that whilst a thorough discussion of “the problem” a person, couple or family present with is important, the focus of her therapy is on achieving observable, long lasting, practical change. Hence there is a strong focus on goal setting and between session practice as well as regular checking in regarding progress.
