General Information and Work HistoryLisa Oddie is a registered psychologist with a strong foundation in both clinical and organisational psychology, supported by over a decade of experience in the wellbeing and mental health sectors. Her career has spanned therapeutic, managerial, and consulting roles across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
From 2013, Lisa held senior leadership positions in Australia—including Area Manager roles—where she led multidisciplinary teams providing rehabilitation, vocational support, and psychological injury management services. She specialised in workplace mental health strategy, psychological risk assessment, and the design and implementation of wellbeing and change initiatives at an organisational level. Since 2020, Lisa has practiced as a registered psychologist in private settings and under Australia’s WorkCover scheme (similar to ACC), providing therapeutic support to individuals presenting with a range of mental health concerns. Her clinical approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed frameworks. She supports adults experiencing complex psychological distress, with a particular focus on trauma recovery, perinatal mental health, workplace stress, and life transitions. In late 2024, Lisa returned to Aotearoa New Zealand, where she now offers therapeutic services through Lifespan Counselling. Her practice is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep understanding of how individual and systemic factors interact to impact wellbeing. Areas of InterestLisa works with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, trauma and PTSD, perinatal mental health and parenting challenges, work stress, burnout, and career transitions, relationship and interpersonal difficulties (including boundary setting), and adjustment to life transitions. She also provides ACC specialist psychological assessments, psychological assessments for ADHD, autism, PAI, psychometric, and vocational purposes, medicolegal and functional psychological evaluations, coaching for wellbeing, performance, and leadership development, and workplace psychological health consulting, including return-to-life and injury support.
