General Information and Work History:

Geoff is Medical Director for Lifespan where he works with psychologists assisting in general Psychology and in Addiction Medicine. He is a caring and experienced Doctor and Drug & Alcohol Clinician. Based in Australia and New Zealand, he has 20 years’ experience with children, youth and adults; supporting and guiding them to positively create change in their lives. His roles have included Deputy Director of Box Hill Hospital Drug Service Unit, GP Educator, Clinical Supervisor for Monash University and Mentor for graduate doctors. In addition to Lifespan, Geoff currently has appointments as Senior Medical Officer for Waitemata District Health Board (CADS: Community Alcohol and Drug Service) and in General Practice.

Area of focus:

Geoff works with individuals by assessing and promoting their motivation to change and manage Drug & Alcohol addiction and other problems. He is skilled in educating and supporting families through the process of change and long-term maintenance. Geoff is able to support clients with substance abuse re-entering the workplace, as well as education, prevention, and risk management.  Geoff enjoys presenting seminars and workshops in a variety of settings and is passionate about drug education.
