ADD/ADHD is a common problem for New Zealand children. ADD/ADHD requires a team assessment including a medical opinion & psychological testing. At Lifespan we are able to offer assessments and then follow-up counselling to families to support your child/ren with DD/ADHD. It is critical that follow-up support is given to families in order to help support this problem. Lifespan psychologists are also able to work closely with your childs school to support their learning & academic programs.

• Health Insurance policies may cover Psychological Treatment.

• WINZ Beneficiaries or those on low income may be eligible for government support.

• ACC will meet the cost for psychological services if clients are eligible.

– Sensitive Claim for psychological issues following sexual abuse.

– Psychological Services for clients with psychological issues secondary to a physical injury e.g. Traumatic Brain or Spinal Cord Injury.

• Student Psychologist. Reduced rates to see one of our Masters or Doctoral Level Students, all of whom are well trained in addition to being supervised by Lifespan Senior Psychologists.
